Ive had an amazing experience at Coral reef senior High, I've made many friends and the education quality is high.
I attended Coral Reef Senior High School from 2020 to 2024 and the experience overall has been positive. I find it an amazing school because of the diversity of the students and the range of academic opportunities the school provides. They have many Advanced Placement classes and an academy class that gives you an idea of what you will learn in that career path. Additionally, they have many extracurricular activities like sports and clubs to join. Something that i would like to see change is the electives, I think they should add more electives. Overall, my experience at Coral Reef Senior High School was a great foundation towards my academic journey.
Coral Reef has many fun events and clubs around the whole school, they also have many sports to offer and is an overall great school.
Great staff, mainly in the office. The VPA staff are amazing and very helpful. Mr. Torgerson was the greatest band teacher I've ever had.
To be completely honest, this school is an amazing school with great opportunities. You can apply and take dual enrollment classes, ap classes, honors classes, etc. The teachers are amazing and teach with great responsibility and care. My freshman year wasn't the best, because I overworked myself. I took classes I thought I could handle, but it was later revealed that I couldn't. In sophomore year, I decided to take a break from the ap and difficult classes and tried my best in honors. I would say I was overdue for a break. it was one of the best years of my school life and I made lots of friends. one thing that I would like to see change is the favoritism in this school. Yes, there are many kids in school so it is most likely not possible for everyone to get the best opportunities. However, there are times when some students get more than others. Other than that, this school is an enjoyable experience for anyone!
Soon after the summer I'll be a junior in Coral Reef Senior High and I couldn't be happier in any other school. The environment of the school overall is one of a kind, you can truly see the encouragement of embracing your individuality. With six different programs you will for sure learn about your interest. The teachers genuinely care about your success and want you to keep growing. I've made one-of-a-kind friendships with my classmates, and I'm constantly meeting new people of different cultural backgrounds. The school is always organizing a variety of events for us students to continue enjoying our school year. Overall attending Coral Reef has been a great experience for me and I'm excited to continue my junior year soon.
I had a great experience in Coral reef senior high. The health science academy was the best. Help me get certification that allowed me to work right after high school. Would do it again.
I made a lot of friends who are caring and be with me forever. I also had some amazing teachers that helped me throughout the years. Some classes where harder than others. But overall I love the school.
Overall, Coral Reef is a great school if you apply yourself and take advantage of the opportunities is grants you. The school caters to a wide variety of students with varying interests, allowing you to pursue your passions. However, some days are harder than others. The demand for so many teachers and substitutes to accommodate the large school results in bad learning environments at times. As long as you stay on task and ensure you're understanding course material, you'll cruise through your high school years.
Coral Reef High School is a school where your education and needs will always be put first. Not only are there different magnet academies that you can choose from, but each one is different. I am in the IB program and although it is challenging and can be really hard at times, it’s all worth it in the end. All of the teachers and staff are nice and ready to help you in any way.
My experience at coral reef senior high school was an experience never to forget i enjoyed all the pep rally’s and the teachers at the school being able to be apart of this amazing program was memorable.
All teachers, counselors, and administrators I worked with over the last four years were incredibly supportive and encouraging. Through the rigor of the academics and personal struggles, they made the experience memorable and helped me reach my goals. The administration never failed to present students with a great variety of opportunities such as Silver Knight, clubs, and honor societies. The Student Government did a great job with activities year round. Counselors are approachable and do a great job at preparing us for life after high school including college.
Like many schools in Miami, Coral Reef Senior High School serves a diverse student population. This diversity can provide students with exposure to different cultures and perspectives, fostering a more inclusive and multicultural environment. The school has gained recognition for its academic achievements and has been included in national rankings. It has received accolades for its STEM programs and has been designated as a Magnet School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America.
My overall experience in this high school was unsurprisingly expected since I knew I was going to face personal problems and learn about who I am as a person and this school allowed me to figure it out. The best parts had to be me having to adapt to my new surroundings and the worst part were the classes that had no room for caring about the student understanding the curriculum rather caring about getting work done.
Coral reef is a great school. they have a great selection of advanced placement classes. Coral Reef Senior High School is ranked #323 in the National Rankings. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college. the teachers and administration are the icing on the cake when it comes to Reef they make class such a fun environment and makes the students want to learn. Reef also enforces a no bullying rule which makes the students feel comfortable in their school environment. Overall I give Reef a 10/10.
Though the usual freshmen horrid was not the same over zoom, it was still just as scary to join “zoom groups” for projects and not now anyone at all. Moreover, my freshman and some of my sophomore was a bit on the harsher side but right around the second quarter of sophomore year, that’s when I really began having a great high school experience. I made some of the best friends I could have asked for and had great teachers and classes; I joined all the clubs I wanted to do but couldn’t before and really pushed myself to be better. I wouldn’t change that experience for anything but what I would change, is how stressed I was over little things. I thought I had to be the best when I started high school and then everything changed with covid and now I know that the best I can do is when I give 100% not when I get an A. I don’t have to get stressed over a 95% or a b or even that 1 c in a test from 3 months ago. I only have to be myself, and take things one step at a time or rather 6 feet!
Well, for starters, your Coral Reef Senior high school has an incredible faculty that is dedicated to helping students succeed. From the teachers to the support staff, everyone is committed to creating a positive learning environment that fosters growth and development. The school also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities that allow students to explore their interests and develop new skills outside of the classroom. Whether you're interested in sports, music, drama, or community service, there's something for everyone at your school. While there are certainly many positive aspects of high school, there are also some challenges that students may face. For example, high school can be a stressful and competitive environment, particularly for students who are striving to achieve academic success or excel in extracurricular activities. Additionally, high school can be a time of great change and uncertainty, as students are navigating new social dynamics and trying new things.
