I love the fact that Coral Reef Senior High School (CRHS), home of the Barracudas, becomes a home for almost every student that attends school there. There is a strong support system between students within each academy, amongst various academies, and between students and administration. Furthermore, upon visiting CRHS, one would quickly see that the school pride is nearly unmatched in the Miami-Dade school district. This is not only owed to the fact that the academics are exceptionally strong, but also because Coral Reef strives to give students the best possible high school experience. One thing that holds true for me as a Coral Reef student, and many others, is that Reef students cannot hide that Cuda pride!

Coral Reef allowed me to learn and blossom as a student. I had incredible teachers and grew in a tight knit community in the International Baccalaureate Programme. However, I do not think that the school promotes club involvement enough or opens it to students in an inviting way. I regret not being more involved in high school. My lack thereof however, was not just my own doing but I feel in part a failure of the school in regards to the offerings of clubs and the overall sense of exclusivity. Nonetheless, Coral Reef was a great place to be!
My high school described in one word would be family! I've had struggles thought high school from missing class due to lack of care from my parent to showing up late from riding three buses from my home to school route. And I would do it all again if I had to choice.
The teachers were always helpful and loving. They treated you as if you were their own child. Always concerned having no issue to stay late for extra help. they gave great life advice and never saw a bad grade as a reason to treating a student differently. We had many talent clubs and people I for one am very proud to have graduated with my class, class of 2014!
