I believe Coral Gables Preparatory Academy (CGPA) is a phenomenal school. I went there from 1st grade all the way up to 8th and as a student, I felt very welcomed. Although it's not your traditional large elementary or middle school, being in an environment where you know practically anyone, it's really great, especially for those who have a hard time making friends. The teachers in both campuses were all very nice, supportive and understanding. Quite frankly, the staff and administration made me feel like this school was my home away from home. I highly recommend attending this school. I had an amazing experience at CGPA, and I'm sure you/ your child will too. I truly miss every moment I had there and wish that I didn't have to leave. Good luck to all of you in the future no matter which elementary/ middle school you decide to attend. Although, if I were you, I'd choose to become an Eagle (that's the school's mascot). Anyways, just know that this school is the one to pick!!!

The school is fairly small with very few extra curricular activities, in addition to its small size the school doesn't have its own field for sports and must share a public community park where the students are exposed to strangers for when they are in their Physical Education Class. Amongst faculty from my experience they are very cautious of everything that goes in and outside of school when it comes to its students.
The school is in a great neighborhood however the office administration in my humble opinion is not as inviting and at times they seemed annoyed by parents inquiries. The principle does't seem approachable and only see her for the honor ceremonies, as for the assistant principles I feel they are more approachable and seem like they care about the students. I have mixed feeling about the teachers some have been amazing and others are not motivated to teach. The school has no extracurricular activities except a geography club, and a chorus/music. There is no sports or any other type of activities for the students. I believe that with the PTA funds raised the school should have more activities for the students. The meals served are horrible and the milk is often expired, I strongly suggest packing a lunch for your child.
