Coral Community Charter School Reviews

I transferred both my children here after they were in bored in public school and were left to be the “teacher helper”. This school is amazing in that each child has an individualized learning plan! It’s incredible to see in action as each child or small group is working on something in their level. The classes are more free flowing in that you may move up to a different teacher if you’ve mastered the current material. My son is a second grader, but floated up to the 3/4 grade class to give appropriate challenge. They will also have kids float up or down in specific subjects if they need more challenge or additional support. I’ve never seen a school match the needs of each student so well.

I transferred my daughter here because she was struggling to keep up at our neighborhood school, which was highly rated. She has thrived at CCCS. We consider ourselves very lucky to be a part of this school. They really put the kids first. The teachers create ILPs for each student, which really help kids to challenge themselves. Kids are allowed to progress at their own paces, but none are left behind, and the high achievers are also supported. The teachers use creative lesson plans that keep the kids engaged. The math teacher uses games to help kids learn the concepts, and it’s fun for them.
The school brings in professionals to talk about their jobs, and my daughter finds it very inspiring. They have met a judge, an entrepreneur, and a published author.
At first I was worried that the playground was too small, but my daughter gets so much more physical activity here than she did at her traditional school.
This school is doing everything right. Don’t ever change, CCCS!
This school use to be great, then they switched administration and have since lost half of the staff. Half of the grade level teachers are not licensed teachers. You don't find out if your child's teacher has a teacher license until two months after school has start. Parents are not allowed in the building. If your child needs to use the restroom after school has been let out, good luck! They will not be allowed back into the school unless they are signed up for afterschool program. My child accidentally cracked their old chromebook and I was told I needed to pay $230 in cash and wouldn't be given a receipt. They got rid of all after school clubs other than their "free program". They use to have chess, yoga, girl scouts, boy scouts, and now no one is allowed in the school building. It is not a parent friendly school.
