I liked the amount of diversity and the quality of the students at Coral. It was also a great experience to help build their first ever athletics program and to see everyone become a family within sports.
However, I don’t feel my academics were being focused on at all. Seniors were not given priority when applying for their credits and they prevented me from taking a 5-6 Spanish course this year, with a forced study hall. My “college advisor” has also not been interactive in helping my classmates and I through the application process. Many of us have been lost in trying to find everything out ourselves. Coral is also very notorious for hiring incompetent and unqualified teachers, and my overall learning has suffered. They also end up hiding important information from parents and have gotten backlash for it. There was an incident where a student made a threat to students’ safety and there was no high measure of security taken; I do not feel very safe attending that school.

Academics are poor. Teachers are notoriously unqualified. The school has a problems racism, sexism, and homophobia. CAS lacks any STEM teachers, as they all quit . There is no college counselling. Students who applied to college this year encountered such gross negligence they were unable to apply to any schools that were not local. You will encounter compassionate teachers that care about the students but, they lack skills and time.
My children started in Elementary School, are currently attending Middle School and plan for them to continue through High School. They have the BEST staff in all three campuses!!!! High School will allow students to take college courses at no cost and are the first Charter School to have sports teams!!! Excellent School!!!!!
