My experience at Cooper City High School was amazing. The teachers were always very helpful and taught the material in a way everyone could understand. The guidance counselors were incredible. Whenever I needed someone to talk to I always knew where to go for that. The atmosphere is like no other school in Broward county. It is really easy to make friends and to get involved in after school activities. I played Basketball while I attended Cooper City High School and the life lessons that I have learned will carry with me throughout my life. They aim to make you ready for college and they do a superb job in achieving that. I am currently attending FSU and I still refer back to the information that I received way back from freshman year of high school. The cowboys pride is like no other in the county. Honestly, one of the best schools you could send your child. Go cowboys!

Let me start by saying that high school was fun would be an understatement. My home school is South Broward High School, but I am more than grateful for my reassignment to Cooper City High School, for it has exceeded my expectation. Throughout my four years, I have been involved in many extra curricular activities including marching band, National Honors Society, Student Mentor organization, and multicultural club. My school expresses an immense amount of support for our team sports, debate, DECA, band, etc. The Student Government Association has put in an endless amount of effort to make get the student body involved in activities such as spirit week, memorials for tragic events, homecoming, pro, etc. Every student is provided with resources making it more than possible to succeed. Teachers have impacted students here, pushing them to work hard and challenge themselves. I have been given opportunities to that I could only dream of.
The school offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities and AP courses for students aspiring towards a well rounded education to choose from. The guidance and BRACE counselors are very involved with each student's personal success and educational experience (secondary and postsecondary). The teaching quality for most honors and AP classes are exceptional, but there are few teachers who are not well suited for their subjects or being in the classroom. The main problems of "Cooper" are the the student body: lack of ethnic and economic diversity and shameless widespread encouragement & use of cheating, limited staffing and thus options for foreign language studies, and the previous campus library now media center that is rarely open for student use, but is used as a pseudo classroom for on campus Broward Virtual courses.
