Convent & Stuart Hall Reviews
Rating 3.98 out of 5 84 reviews
I'm a current senior, and my experience has been average. Don't go here if you're not a big fan of attending a small school. Convent & Stuart Hall provides a rigorous education that will boost your college admissibility tremendously if you take advantage of the Honors, AP, and IB Courses offered.
The one thing I strongly dislike is that there is a lack of diversity in the school. I can see it is improving a lot, but more work needs to be done. I've talked to other POC students at the school, and they've told me their own experiences with feeling discomfort at school.
I will say the students are preppy and are your typical rich white kid stereotype, but most of them are friendly. You should be fine if you find the right group and focus on your academics. Teachers are very accessible, although some may have questionable teaching styles.
The last thing I have to add is the food is good in my opinion. Also, you have to switch campuses for classes which is a 20-minute walk. Kinda sucks.

I am currently a sophomore at Convent. The academics are amazing and I think that aspect of the school is incredibly underrated compared to other Catholic schools in the city. The IB program is such a cool addition to the school and opens up more opportunities for students. The teachers are highly educated and are incredibly helpful. The school also offers a lot of support for students who struggle with health or learning issues. Both campuses are incredibly beautiful, especially the Broadway campus. The big issue I have with the school is the social dynamics and the unfair enforcement of rules. About half of the students in my class came from the lower school. Most of these students are unfriendly and rude. In addition, they seem to have power over the school. They never get dress coded or get in trouble even though they can be very disrespectful. Unless you went to the lower school or have friends who did, good luck making friends. I have a small friend group now but it took a while
Convent is a great school for college-driven students. Due to the small size of the school, you are able to have more opportunities to take advanced courses (AP/IB). These types of students have the ability to excel academically and receive all the support they need. In that regard, 10/10. Only reason I did not provide a five star review is due to a lot of the blatant favoritism to students who went to the school for all of their education (K-12) as opposed to students who joined in high school. Convent and Stuart Hall is an amazing institution all around.
