Contra Costa Christian Schools Reviews
Rating 4.39 out of 5 74 reviews
I've been attending Contra Costa Christian School since my freshman year of high school. It is a very small school with about 60 high school students. Small class sizes makes it more comfortable and easier to talk to teachers and get help. Unfortunately, with limited teachers, they have to take on many roles in the school. They are often overworked and can't fulfill their job to the best of their ability. This affects class in a negative way. Also teachers come and go a lot so we never get to choose classes because of good teachers, we just have to hope that we get good teachers in the next year. My favorite thing about Contra Costa Christian is Spiritual Retreat week and Intercession which is a week where we go learn outside of the classroom on any topic that we choose. Also, I like how my school has an international program so we get to meet new people from all over the world. So if you like a small and close environment, Contra Costa Christian is what you're looking for.
We have been so happy at this school! The middle school experience has been particularly amazing. We wanted a place for our kids to feel seen as they entered the challenging middle school years. The public middle schools are huge and the classes kept getting bigger. Being at cccs has exceeded our expectations.
The staff is so caring and personable! They truly care about their students as a whole, not just how they do academically. During these trying times with distance learning, teachers set time aside to help those that are falling behind when they are trying to learn under difficult circumstances. They set office hours to check in with students not only academically, but how they are doing emotionally and mentally. It is in these times , that the teachers have really shown through their truly amazing character and love for their students. We are blessed to be apart of such an amazing community and are thankful everyday for it!
