Connetquot High School is an above average school. From the courses offered to student involvement, it excels academically. There is definitely a place for everybody from its various clubs. Not the most diverse school, but not the worst. Students will find people to rely on from classmates to teachers to counselors. Go T-birds!
Absolutely horrible school, do not send your kid here as the math department is pathetic. You get an 85% in the class and a 47% on the state exam which I find a joke. Some of the teachers are also a bit negligent and the food is disgusting. I would advise to send your child elsewhere if you can because your child will be unprepared for college. There is definitely not 97% proficiency in math most the class cant even make an 80% grade English education is ok but could be improved. There is a fight every other week so the safety has been declining. Also I go through this school without interacting with anyone of my classmates and there's hundreds of them so culture is bad. Summary: Look elsewhere to educate your child as connetquot is not the way to go.
I love the students and the dedication of the teachers. Some teachers put their heart and souls into their job and make their students their first priority. As someone who transferred high schools after freshman year, the students made the transition really easy. I made amazing friends and joined many honor societies, clubs, etc. There are so many opportunities offered!
