Congressional School Reviews

My daughter has attended since preschool and she refuses to leave. The teachers were extremely thoughtful and responsive to her needs both academic and emotional. The level of support provided for supplemental reading and writing is exceptional! The student culture is very nurturing with a strong emphasis on mentoring. This year there will be an innovation lab and graduates get their choice high schools. As a parent I am very pleased.

Congressional is a very welcoming environment. The teachers are passionate, creative, and genuinely care about the students' success. Students get to bond with kids that are in different grades, and interact in whole school activities. The high school application process is well supported. The atmosphere is fun and happy. Students feel comfortable in approaching the teachers and staff for help.
There is a huge variety of teachers and teaching styles. They are all excellent in teaching, in focusing the lessons into real life and current situations. Grades are consistent and it is not easy to get an A, only those that work hard will get As. Students are challenged because it is a quite advanced school. However, in areas like Math, there are teachers and groups adapted to different types of students.
