My children are excited to go to school each day which I never imagined in middle school. The teachers are caring and purposeful with their teaching. My daughter has really enjoyed being part of the softball and basketball programs. Coach Tommy and Coach Allie are great! Mrs. McFall was an excellent 4th grade teacher and now has moved to a role of helping students with learning disabilities. She is fantastic. One complaint is the communication is struggling through Administrative changes. I am hopeful it will get better. If you want bible centered education this is a great place.
I attended Concord Christian School from K-12. My overall experience was average. The experience was good until about high school. My school went through principles and headmasters very often and this caused a disconnect between the students and the management style and rules withing the school. The education was pretty standard from a private high school. The teachers were average, none of the classes were challenging, kids would get suspended from seemingly doing nothing, and others would get away with anything. The sports program while I attended was pretty decent. The school is small so none of the teams were that good, but we still tried nonetheless. Thinking back my highlights of my time there were all the fun memories I was able to make with my friends throughout my 13 years attending Concord Christian School.
I have attended Concord since the second grade. I have both hated and loved it. We have some amazing teachers who are very accomplished in their own lives and we have the teachers that cannot connect with the students or communicate their lessons. We have an exceptional volleyball team and a growing theatre department. Also, sports such as basketball or football have never been our strongsuit. We have an engaging elementary school that I really do feel is one of Concords strongest traits. So if I were to change even the slightest things about the school it would probably start in the highschool. Concord is a Christian school, so we are required to attend bible classes. Yet, a lot of times the classes are repetitive and surface level. So a stronger curriculum would be very beneficial. We are highschoolers, we are able to comprehend the difficult conversations and those could be happening in Bible class to help us grow as individuals.
