It's very much a hardworking experience! I've gained many benefits from this school. Not only did I graduate with my highschool diploma but also with my IGETC and AA Degree. Thanks to this school, I now have an understanding of what college would be like. Compton Early College HighSchool not only provides high school courses but also 2-years of college classes. However, I would prefer if the school would be able to have a sports team or expand on their musical instruments. Also, I would have liked if they didn’t ask students to wear uniforms since they can be costly too. Despite that, I enjoyed my time at this school and would recommend everyone to join too.
-Compton Early College High School shows great promise, teachers and staff all expect for enrolled students to graduate and reach higher education. The school offers honors and AP classes that are rigorous and prepare students for college courses. C.E.C.H.S. is a dual enrollment school that allows students to attend both high school classes as well as college courses with the opportunity to graduate with an AA degree along with a high school diploma. The school is heavily college oriented with a 100% graduation rate and all of its students attending college after high school. My overall experience was good, the only thing I would rate less than 'good' would be the emotional support offered to students.
I am a junior at CECHS going into my senior year and my experience at this school has been a tornado. Yes, joining the CECHS family is a big advantage going forward in the future, but how the school presents to the public is not all it seems. Academics is another thing that needs to be both changed and looked over for students struggling. As this school's moral purpose is to challenge you I feel that as students we should be offered more resources and tutoring programs for students who are struggling daily. Overall, it is a good school to attend but needs some work in certain categories.
