I really enjoy CSD! There are two kinds of people here, athletes and art kids. We are a very artsy school, but we also have great athletics and everyone gets along.

I started at CSD in my freshman year. It is a small Charter school and most of the kids grew up together. I was accepted from day one by both students and teachers. I felt as if I had completed all my prior education there. I loved that all the rooms had natural light flowing into them and that the arts was a big part of my education. I loved that the classes all tied in together. The teachers made learning exciting.
I was able to form personal relationships with my teachers. They knew me as a person and not just a student in one of their classes. The teachers always followed up with students even when they were no longer taking their class. I was always made too feel important and that everyone had my best interests at heart.
I have been to four schools throughout my K-12 education. CSD is very unique even among the strange schools I have attended. I love my school for many reasons, but the biggest one is the arts program. Community School of Davidson has an amazing arts program with great teachers and talented students. If I have had a rough day, I know I can look forward to my art class and advance my artistic skill. Academically, CSD is also exceptional. I have had wonderful teachers who are very knowledgeable in their subjects. No school is perfect, but I feel like CSD has helped me grow so much as a student and a person.
