We switched our son to Community Park after a beloved private school became financially unsustainable. We are thrilled with the decision. He has been at CP for three years, and each year, he has been blessed with an incredible teacher. There are wonderful programs at the school, including After School Clubs like Mechanized Lego, Glee Club, Little Scientists, and Gardening, and an instrumental music group (my son is playing saxophone). The principal is a kind, dedicated woman who knows all of the students. This year, my daughter began at CP in Kindergarten and is in the Dual Language Immersion (Spanish) program. I can't say enough about this program. My husband is fluent in Spanish and he is amazed by how much she has learned in less than a year -- he says her accent is spot on, too! Our family loves this school.

The violence and lack of supervision are making the experience for my children at CP quite painful. They are afraid of going to school because of bullying, and are counting the days for the school year to be over, and so am I. I see little or no improvement on academics either, and I noticed a large difference between what my children do and what other friends at the same school grade do in other schools in the area.
It was amazing, has great opportunities for children to learn and make new friends. It is a place where all the kids are welcome.
