One of my best decisions ever was attending Communications High School. As a Freshman, I was exposed to many different opportunities that many students don't get till they are seniors. I learned many abode programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign. I traveled on multiple field trips to gardens and museums. I got to make award winning films, be published in newspapers, and construct my own TV show. The teachers prepared me for college work. They care so deeply for the needs of their students and will go to great lengths to see them achieve. I am so grateful for such an amazing experience!

I picked Communications High School because it has a lot of resources if you’re interested in entering a career within communications or visual arts. The art, film, and print teachers are the best, and prepare students in their fields to a point where they could basically start their careers whenever they want. There is a lot here that you can only get in larger schools though, like AP classes, adequate time for clubs, sports are nearly impossible to do if you live over 20 minutes away. But it can be extremely helpful if you know exactly what you want to do.
Overall, CHS is a great school. Although the classes and workload can be difficult to manage, the teachers are (usually) great, there's a variety of club and activities, and typically everyone seems to find a group of people they hang out with. However, some teachers are just plainly disqualified, and others interact way too much, to a point where it's unprofessional, with students. And although clubs and activities are great and councils work hard, elections are often biased. Above all, diversity is pretty poor in comparison to the other schools of the MCVSD. Again, I love the school and am very glad that I came here. It was the perfect fit for me and it's a great fit for most who come here (as very few have dropped out within my grade).
