I like that Colusa High School is truly a welcoming environment and students receive the assistance they need. For being such a small school, the faculty truly goes above and beyond to provide the best experience for all students. The sports programs outstanding, college preparation is great, and CHS offers an outstanding number of clubs and activities. CHS is part of the heart of Colusa and the amount of community support received is amazing! I have loved my experience at Colusa High School. I have held numerous leadership positions, have attended every school function and event possible, and have also played three sports each year throughout high school. I believe that life is what you make it, which means high school is what you make it and Colusa High definitely sets students up for success and provides the opportunity for each student to pursue their desired path.
I like how the small sized school allows for more interactive opportunities with the teachers and staff in general. The size helps create bonds that help me as a student both socially and academically. All the teachers are kind hearted and caring. Most seem to genuinely care for their student and want to help us be successful. The sports are full of experiences that help with leadership, team, and communication skills. My favorite program at my school is the Environmental Science Academy. I learn about environmental sciences and it is a program in which we take trips to further enrich ourselves on the issues of our environment. Through seeing the beauty and suffering our environment is going through, it gives a better understanding of how we must save our planet. Colusa high school is full of opportunity.
I liked how involved the teachers were with the students inside the classroom and outside and even offered extra help when they were struggling in certain subjects.Something that they can make better in that school is that they should try Unite the school more because a lot of people separate themselves from each other. They could try to do more activities that involve everyone in school not just a certain group.I really like the clubs they offer and the different teaching styles of teachers had.I would say that the math teacher did a pretty good job they were really good with their students and if you need help with anything they were there to help you understand the subject better. Also the science teacher was good. He really cared about his students and always wanted to help them and improve their grade and just understand the overall subject better and have a bigger interest in science.
