Columbus Downtown High School is a great Career Center School that quite frankly is the best School out of Columbus City Schools catalog. The school and staff truly prepares us for real world work environment and a chance to actually graduate high school not only with a diploma, but also a Career Certification in your major. The school is truly diverse mainly because the school has students from all over Columbus City Schools in the same building with another. This school is very close and heart of Columbus because so many companies are close with my school offering jobs and internships recognizing our work ethic and knowledge of our career. I study IT support n services by the way and recommend any one to attend this school !

I went here for business. In my junior year it was a general understanding of business. This included definitions of words, a little accounting, how to run your own business, how to write professional emails, how to perfect you resume, etc. Each year you have your basic classes added, which included math, science, history and english. My senior year was little different. We had a choice. Go in the direction of accounting or entrepreneurship. I chose entrepreneurship. By doing this, it gave me the opportunity to go through the cycle of how to start up a business. We even had to make a marketing plan and present it in front of a real court of people who would invest in your business. Obviously they weren't really going to invest, but it gave us a chance to receive real feedback on our plans.
I like that this school is only for juniors and seniors. It gives the school a slightly smaller feel. Since Columbus Downtown is a career center, teachers and administrators hold us to a higher standard and I believe that pushes students to want to do their best. I also think that its really cool that all the students are from all around the district so it gives people a chance to interact with people outside of their home community. I never really experienced and problems while attending this school.
