I liked that I was able to form a good balance between school and extracurricular activities because the teachers and coaches were very understanding.
The Columbine community is extremely welcoming. They make you feel like you are apart of a family, once you are a rebel, you are a rebel for life. Columbine has a wonderful principle who truly cares about his students, especially throughout the pandemic. He is extremely supportive of every student and is very involved in all of the schools clubs, sports, fundraisers, and activities. The more involved you are with the school, the better the experience is. There is so many school activities to join and they are all welcoming to every student. Columbine is a great school all around and I am so lucky to be apart of the community.
It was amazing! Everyone felt like family, the staff was absolutely amazing. It made my high school experience the best it could ever be. At Columbine, they really try hard to make everyone part of the school.
Columbine High School has a lot of history attached to it given the horrible circumstances that happened there. However, one of the great things that happened as a result of that tragedy is that it brought everyone closer. The students, the parents, the teachers and faculty. Everyone makes an effort to be more aware and to help each other. Everyone cares more. No one ever forgets but works to make things better. I like the support I receive from my teachers and counselor. Our school slogan reflects that. We are Columbine.
Columbine high school is like no other. Because of the tragedies that had happened there, the community is really strong and caring. It feels like a family. I went there for 4 years, and along the way had amazing teachers. My favorite part about Columbine is the faculty and staff. The downside to Columbine is the lack of diversity. Columbine is located in a predominantly white city, whereas other high schools around Jeffco are more diverse.
Teachers felt very genuine and had a very welcoming atmosphere to it. Many students were very welcoming as well
As a recent graduate I am able to say that Columbine High School is my family. It has created a real sense of community for me. As a student I have always felt cared for and important. Education is a high priority for me and Columbine has been the perfect environment to prepare me for college both academically and socially. I was able to play sports and maintain a good GPA with teachers and coaches that cared about my success. The principle is amazing and very involved with the student body. As a school, Columbine strives to help students become good citizens by promoting volunteerism and they help coordinate opportunities to serve the community. The student body is committed to the school as shown through participation in sporting events, involvement in extracurricular activities and supporting other students.
I have had a pretty awesome experience at Columbine! So many of the teachers really show that they care about their students, more so than other places and they invest a lot of time into their classes. There's always something for everyone and I have always felt welcome going to school.
I loved my time at Columbine, there were teachers and classmates that I didn't get along with but that's part of life thanks CHS
I like my experiences at columbine it was a very inviting atmosphere. When I was freshman their it gave me a place to growth and find my on path. Now that I am a senior and graduating I think I am ready to face the world.
All of the teachers at Columbine are amazing and there is a very strong sense of community. Everyone is able to get along even if people do not know each other. All of the teachers are very friendly and seem to know what they are teaching in their respective areas. The principal really cares about the school and is an excellent leader of a very friendly community.
This school is such an amazing place and it is really one of the best schools on the planet. Everyone in the community is so loving and caring and all the teachers really show that they care for their students. Everything that I have learned helps so much and were all made out to be important by the teachers that taught it to me.
All the teachers are very hands on and want you to succeed in your high school years. The community is unbelievable everyone knows everyone the sports and activities are amazing. They always try to have fun and work really hard to help their students in the future and in the long run. This place has become a second home to me and everyone around me. I have no idea what I would be doing if it wasn't for the help of the columbine staff. The academic goals that the teachers set is just unbelievable and all the activities that they offer is crazy. Sports and the standers they hold are great. Keeping your grades in check while you do sports is very important to columbine. Every week that have check ins to see how you are balancing sports and school. Keeping up with school work is challenging but everyone at columbine try to help you out and keep up with your life. This school has changed my life for the better I'm going to r ember this place for the rest of my life.
Columbine has a lot of negative connotations surrounding it because of it's sad history. Since the 1999 tragedy, Columbine has formed a strong, caring community that focuses on support and inclusion. The teachers and faculty are awesome and genuinely care about the students. Additionally, the schedule makes it efficient and is very focused on student success.
horrible experience at columbine. They pride themselves as a family but really its just to look and sound inclusive when in fact they don't treat people like a family. I was bullied my whole high school career and the education system is also corrupt/horrible. Teachers did not care about my education and never took me seriously because my family name had a reputation. No one prepared me for college and no one heard me out even when I would cry to them about what was going on with peers. Awful awful school.
A warming and opening community that tries not to remember what happened in 1999 but rather move forward and give back to the community and ensure a bright future for the Blue and Silver community.
I have had the best experience at Columbine High School. The community is like no other and when we say that we are the Rebel Family we truly mean it. You are a Columbine Rebel for life and no one can take that away from you. Once a rebel, always a rebel! I have loved every second of being a rebel and am proud of the school and the community.
