At Columbine High School, I felt included. Between the community's support for academics, athletics, and community service, I felt that my school really invested in a greater good that I didn't really see anywhere else around me. Personally, I generally felt connected to all of my teachers and a lot of students. There were several instances where our principal and teachers actively advocated and encouraged inclusion between students. At this year's homecoming assembly, our principal challenged all of the students to meet five new people that we otherwise wouldn't have met, encouraging everyone to go out of their way to interact with someone they probably never would have. I am proud to have been included in the Columbine family.

I've gone to Columbine for four years now and am graduating this May! In my time here, I've fallen in love with everything that has happened during my high school career. This school has so much to offer for every individual. The only thing I would change would be the Campus Security as sometimes they can be a little harsh. Other than that I've really enjoyed my time here!
I love this school! I love it because even when I had bad days, I never hated my school. Sure, I hated the work and the tests and everything, but I never hated Columbine. Whatever effort I put in, I got out. Even with the tragedy weighing on us, we didn’t waver. We turned a day of sadness into a day of service. We altered our attitudes and lifestyles to make our community whole again. The tragedy may have torn us apart at one time, but we have since put ourselves back together. We’re not perfect, far from it. But we’re thriving.
