The school, compared to most public schools, is a very good school. It is well built and has lots of little things that make it good for example a new turf field for the football and soccer teams. Additional parking spots are also being added to fit the growing attendance. Just by walking into the school one can tell that there is school spirit. Posters line the halls with sports information, band and choir concerts, meets, among others. If you don't understand something for class, most of the time, teachers set up times to meet and go over what you dont understand. Overall it is a very good school, but one thing that isn't great is the lack of diversity.More then 90% of the students attending are caucasion. In my opinion this hurts the students because the real-world is so different. This in a way makes them sheltered, so when they do enter the real-world or college they don't know how to act or they base everything off of stereotypes.

I liked the small town closeness of my high school. Everyone was close and I still see people I went to high school with today. Just like any small town high school, however, the teachers did pick favorites. Especially during sports, if you were not the star player you had no attention or any chance of being better because they wouldn't invest their time in you or try to support you.
The staff at CHS is very dedicated and friendly. However, I believe some measures could be taken in order to better prepare students for college.
