Don't even know where to start for this one. I attended Colonial SD up to my eighth-grade graduation. The middle school was not a good experience for me or any of my siblings. If I had known what it would have been like I would have asks to be switched to private school sooner. The atmosphere for learning is terrible. It is too competitive academically, but mainly, socially. As a young girl, I felt the pressure to look "hot" every day at school. The social pressures at this school were a bad influence on me. I felt the need to be a people pleaser and go along with what everyone else was saying in order to fit in and be liked.

The academics were insufficient. I will say; however, that the Spanish department is extremely strong. The math department uses a system which involves integrated math, and because of this odd system, when I transferred to private school I was not longer in the advanced math that I had been in in Colonial. The enlgish department teaches good writing skills. Yet, they teach no grammer whatsoever. The history department is okay depending on the teacher that you get. But overall, definitely a bad school.

Colonial Middle School is a great school overall , the only things I truly did not enjoy were how they did the dances , asked for a amount of money to attend after school activities that could've did more for the students . The teachers wanted us to learn and they used different techniques to help all different students. The only thing that truly bothered me throughout my stay at the school were some of the people . Most of them either always had me in the office or in trouble , that"s my overall experience with the school .
