I went there while I was in middle school. I seen that it was hard to get help when people needed help in class. The teachers there didn't seem to care about the students. I had a teacher who would pick on students when they made mistakes and when their parents brought this up to the administration; the administration defended the teacher and didn't even launch an investigation. For my friends who stayed there till they graduated they had almost no help with getting ready for college. There is a real lack of facilities there as well. People who go to the school have no sense of prude for the school and almost everyone that I knew there hated it and wanted to change school and many of them did change schools I also changed schools. I would like to see more facilities, improved school culture, more surport for the students and better training for the teachers.

Colon high school is a small school - Class D. With that being the case you do get to know the teachers/staff very well. Class size is small so you can get extra attention if you need it. The last few years the school is really trying to get students involved in dual enrollment with our local college. It is really nice when you can take college classes right at your high school!
You get to participate in sports. Almost everyone makes the team.
I would like to see better coaches hired or a chance to go to a sports camp where you can learn more about your favorite sport.
Colon is a small community, so I love that you know almost everyone that you see in the school. One thing that I would change is the funding and the size of our school. Because we are such a small community, students at Colon High School aren't given as many opportunities as students that go to larger schools.
