Collierville High School Reviews
Rating 4.11 out of 5 228 reviews
I love Collierville High School. The teachers are great and will really invest their time in you if you put in the work. Our fine arts are fantastic with our band, orchestra, and choir winning many competitions. Our sports teams are ok, but they are climbing back up to the top!(Our basketball team went to the state championship this year) Nevertheless, our school is loaded with spirit, with kids participating during homecoming week and other school spirit weeks. Our facilities are ok (referring to the ever problematic bathrooms). However, despite the problems, Collierville High is still a great school and will definitely get you ready for college!
Throughout my lifetime, I have made it my sole purpose in life to reach the highest education possible attending college is the key to this success. In my high school classes, I have begun to learn how to become an effective writer and critical reader and I learned the essential role these skills play in the foundation of all careers. I believe some of the most important skills that I will learn in college are the ability to think critically, the ability to communicate effectively, and the ability to overcome problems.College is so important to me because I believe it will help me be able to make a positive and lasting impact on my life and the world when I finally become the plastic surgeon and person that I have long envisioned myself to be. College means independence, maturity, responsibility, accountability, excellence, and future opportunities. All these aspects work together to create the best parts of going to college.
I like Collierville High School because it gives many opportunities for all of the students. They always find ways to make sure that people succeed. The counselors take the time out of there day to help you and make sure that you are comfortable with your classes. In addition, the counselors come to you even when you don't ask for help. The school is big on making sure everyone feels safe and they take safety extremely serious. I like how they offer classes that many other schools around the city don't offer. Most of the teachers want you to succeed so they help you and some even give you study plans. I like how the teachers are required to offer tutoring which many teachers offer tutoring everyday before or after school. There are many clubs for different cultures, ethnicities, interest, etc. Parent involvement is somewhat big at CHS because they make sure that parents are aware of everything by providing updates for both parents and students. They make sure students succeed.
