Colleyville Middle School has a tradition of having a big impact both socially and academically for all students. CMS was recently named a Schools To Watch for its high academic growth and achievement. CMS represents Texas with the designation of a School To Watch and recognized by the National Forum of Schools To Watch and National Model School. CMS is also a Gallup Strengths based campus where all staff and students take and incorporate the Gallup Strengths assessment to benefit their day in communication and performance at school. The PTA student/parent ratio is one to one. These examples of high achieving accomplishments are a direct reflection of partnership between the students, staff, parents and community that work together to help make CMS one of the best public middle schools in the state.
I am an alumnus of CMS and loved my time there. While I was not within the in crowd I still always had friend groups in my classes all three years. The teachers were extremely impactful in my studies and pushed me to be better than I thought I could be at the time, in and outside of the classroom. Seventh and eighth-grade sports were very competitive but still had a fun nature, coaches pushed you along with the teachers to become a better young adult in the community. Parents are very involved in and outside of the classroom to ensure that kids and teachers are connected and ready to take the next step in their education as they prepare for high school. The administration, however, is not as involved in the student's lives, but the campus police officer is a warm protective face for all the students, even after I graduated from CMS she is still someone I know I could always reach out to if I needed her help. Overall CMS was a great middle school experience for me and my friends.
I go to Heritage Middle School and let me just there are no words to say how happy I am being their everyone is treated fairly and academics are high at HMS
