College Park High School Reviews
Rating 4.03 out of 5 650 reviews
I moved to College Park High School from the rival school, The Woodlands High School. College Park opened their arms to me, and welcomed me towards the end of the first semester of my junior year. I was forced to switch High Schools due to severe bullying and harassment. I was assaulted in a bathroom, followed home, and threatened multiple times during my time at the Woodlands High School.
Now at College Park, I met great friends, peers, counselors, and teachers. The people that entered my life through College Park immensely impacted my life for the better. I made good friends, joined the powerlifting team and District Robotics team. I was able to compete at state level powerlifting, and explore career opportunities through my STEM interests. College Park High School has been a great opportunity for me, and I hope to continue to grow and pursue my education in college.

Depending on the classes you take and who you hang out with, your College Park experience can differ drastically from your peers. Typically, the higher level the courses you take and the more involved you get in extracurriculars (like theatre, sports or clubs), the better your experience is. You get more interesting teachers, a passionate environment, more ambitious students, better academics, college readiness, a diverse community that you share something in common with and more resources. I avoid taking level classes because of how much worse my experience is in those (outside of Theatre III/IV) compared to my AP or dual credit courses.
The only downside to College Park is that there has been a lot of fighting. The fights get violent to the point that the students involved in the fight get sent to the hospital, which is why it is very important to choose who you hang out with. Although College Park has a huge population, everyone knows each other at some level because of social media and students posting about other students on social media. It's best to lay low, focus on school work, and communicate with the teachers. A lot of them are really nice, you just have to have basic human decency to speak to them, and they'll help you with anything you're struggling with. With that, I can guarantee your experience would not fail to satisfy you.
