Over the course of my 4 years of attending Cody APL, I've encountered a lot of ups and downs. Overall, I have gained a lot my experiences and life lessons from my teachers and of course my principal, Mr. Matthews. Even though a lot of people have a negative outlook on my school, you can't judge a book by its cover. What matters is what is being taught inside the school, not the appearance of it. In my opinion I feel like people should come to Cody for the experience and not just because of what they heard from other folk.

My experience could have been better. What I would like to see change is the teachers attitudes. Some would come to work and don't want to do their job. Also for them to get better food and more healthy. In the winter time have the heat on high. They should have new books . What I liked about Cody was sports, and Citi year people. Citi year is people who helped with homework or school work.
Some extracurricular activities at my school is hip hop dance, vocals, spanish, basic law, jrotc, and weight lifting. The dance team and vocal group goes to the Carr Center to perform and watch and listen to other singers and dancers and get tips to get better. The basic law class participant in Michigan Youth In Government where they can help decide on which bills should be passed or not.
