For the past three years at Coconut Creek High, I have enjoyed the teachers, the students, and the after school activities. Attending Coconut Creek is a fun experience because not only is it a diverse school but the school spirit all around makes you want to be involved. All the friends I have made at Coconut Creek High, have all taught me an important aspect in life. I’ve encountered different types of teachers at Coconut Creek, but the one thing they all have in common: they are all willing to help. So far, I’ve joined clubs, helped around the school, and managed to maintain an acceptable grade point average!
Coconut Creek High School is tough school. It's very easy to get distracted by learning from kids who simply have no interest in graduating. Some teachers are truly there for a paycheck and lack a care for students. The school overall was in bad shape. The hallways smelled of urine and the stairways were plagued with (hopefully not used) condoms. I graduated this summer and really hope this year they started to do improvements. Students always say how much they hate the school and desperately want to leave. Major improvements for the school would have to be: Better teachers, stricter security, updated resources and better school spirit!
My experience at coconut creek highschool was very unique. Even though i wasn't athletically involved in school I was very much involved in different programs for example, I participated in BPA which is a business professional of America. The program allowed you to experience being a business owner and gives you the mentality of being your own boss and providing for your needs. Another program the school was involved in was Latinos in action they were involved in our community whether it was social service or community service. Overall the experience I had in Coconut creek high school will forever have a lasting impact on the person that I become.
