No doubt I'd love to send my own children here! My great grandparents all the way to my generation has graduated from CCHS, and everyone of them loved it. They have always had a very caring staff, who wants to see every student succeed in whatever path they choose. Each staff member is always willing to help, and will give up their own free time for any student.
Attending Coal City High School, it opened up my eyes to what taking responsibility meant and it had helped me grow as a person. It provided me with ways and opportunities to learn different leadership skills, an environment that was supportive in my goals, flexible teachers and staff members that are helpful when needed in different scenarios. However, what I did dislike about it was the lack of true diversity. While most of the students are able to make friendships with one another there, it is a very small school so we don't much individuality or difference in cultures.
Coal City high school has granted an immense number of opportunities to thrive in the classroom. The teachers are fantastic and are there to both guide students through academic struggles and personal struggles. Despite being in a small town, Coal City High School is known to breed a handful of freak athletes thanks to its elite level coaching in certain sports. It is also known for its theater program which has been strong under its directors. School food has a stereotype around the world to be gross and poorly-prepared, but Coal City High School's food is nothing short of great with its copious variety of meals.
