Overall, Coachella High School is not as bad as people think when they think about the school's reputation especially if you hang out with the right people. Throughout my 4 years of school there, I've been involved in the IMPROV Comedy Club, Dance team, AVID recruitment team, FFA, and Student Advisory Council. While the campus might not be the greatest, it's the teachers and majority of humble and out-going students that make it a great school. The atmosphere in general is lively or at least more so than other schools which makes it somewhat welcoming. The only thing I think should change is the way our culture thinks of furthering their education. I believe that with AVID, the college prepareness and focusing on the importance of education will become better within time, but it's usually the AP and AVID students who are on top of their academics, preparing to make it to university of college.

I have attended Coachella Valley High school for the past 3 years of high school and I am currently an attending senior. My past 3 years have consisted of going to school and doing exceedingly well in my academics. Although my school has a reputation of having teachers that do not push students to their full potential, I have luckily experienced teachers who have pushed me towards my full potential. There’s not much of diversity at my school, being that majority of the school population is Hispanic. The facilities here are under very poor conditions, being that the students here are very disrespectful toward school property.
Over all where this school for me has been great. First the campus, the campus has a very nice aditorium but thats about it there were always these rumors that the school was going to remodel certin areas of the campus. Besides the aditorium and the pool the rest of the campus have been the same way for over a century, not exaggerating its been like 100 years. The reason why this feedback was a 4 star and not a 3 stars is becuse of the teachers, yes we have a teacher which almost everyone hates and can't get kicked out because of certain laws perfecting her, but I have had some amazing teachers over my 4 years and teachers like that are the ones which you can look back and remember how careing these teachers are. So although this school is old and in the middle of nowhere what really matter are the people running the jobs the people that make your experience in school delightfull and easy to come to class and learn.
