Clovis West is a great school to express creative identities and explore your personal interests. Not to mention, some the staff and students are really amazing people! I’ve met a lot of individuals that I’m really close to currently. The only things that need improvement is the food and not to restrict taking AP classes because of prerequisites.
I am an incoming Sophomore at Clovis West High School. I like the pace of the classes and how I feel more prepared for college after every day of school. The counselors are great with helping us understand our courses and what colleges like to see when applying. I feel as if the school could work on making the overall social experience more enjoyable. They could do this by creating more events during the school day where students can get to know each other and take a break from the stress of academics.I think the school is also good at providing resources for struggling students. For example, if a student is struggling in math, another student from a higher level math class helps tutor that student. Overall it’s a great academic environment that helps students prepare for life after highschool.
Clovis West has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The entire student body is full of school spirit. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure every student feels comfortable, safe, and included in all school events and activities. Students create and run activities to appeal to every student's need. Clovis West is a school where everyone is considered family. It's not perfect, just like most families, but it gives everyone a chance to be who they truly want to be with no judgement. The student body empowers each other to be our best selves, to get us ready for the next steps after high school. Clovis West is the ideal school for everyone, no matter size, race, shape, or religion! Go Eagles!
