Overall, Cleveland has a very close and connected community. The teachers and staff members are very caring and genuinely interested in seeing students succeed. Furthermore, the students at Cleveland are very hardworking and take charge of their actions and grades. We are very involved in our community and ensure everyone is treated fairly and with respect. Some notable examples are the student-led food and hygiene drives. I definitely recommend Cleveland if you are looking for a wonderful and engaging high school experience.
Hey everyone, I'm a sophomore at CHS and this is my first year learning there. I couldn't be happier with the student and staff as there are all sorts of wonderful here at Cleveland. The teacher's I've met so far are all amazing. They have all been supportive and understanding when I was going through things. They always offer help when I'm struggling and they explain whatever it is thoroughly . As for the students, I wont lie and say they are all great. I've had my fair share of encounters and while some of them haven't been the best, there are still a lot of students who are genuine. My first week at CHS, I hadn't expected to make any friends at all. Everyone was so intimidating to me at the time. But learning beside these students, I've come to realize that I judged them too quickly. The kids I thought would eat me alive, turned out to be the sweetest people I've ever met. Making friends is always an obstacle for me, but now I have so many people I consider as friends. :)
I love Cleveland STEM! My main reason for this is how everyone (teachers, staff, students) is so welcoming, positive, and kind. It doesn't matter if you're black or Buddhist or trans or gay: everyone here either doesn't care or just sees it as another reason that you're special.
Plus, the clubs are stellar!
