This school is probably one of my favorite schools that I've gone to, including elementary and middle school. One of the reasons why is because this school focuses on STEM -- Science, Technology, Engineering, Math -- and I felt like it properly prepared me for college. I was extremely into science during middle school and this school has fulfilled my love for science. There were a variety of courses at Cleveland that definitely challenged me to attempt my best at the school. Another thing that this school stood out to me is the collaborative environment. This school mainly focuses on group work and teaching students how to collaborate with their peers, which is a necessity in adulthood. Many teachers at Cleveland are really nice and supportive and they are willing to patiently teach a student until he/she understands what is being taught. There are afterschool help sessions if a student needs additional assistance.

Something that I like about Cleveland is everyone is really opened up to new people and things. Teachers are very supportive when you ask for help or support. At Cleveland, we do lots of group projects. Something I would like to improve the school is to have more spirits and more active clubs. Our school clubs are only known for Key Club, NHS, Smash Bros, and Filipino Club. Cleveland has really changed me though, throughout my high school years. I've become more out-going and improved my leadership skills. Also, we may not have lots of school spirits but when it comes to like home games like football, volleyball, basketball and etc. Everyone would come and support the team and the games would be really active and fun.
Cleveland is a STEM school. Having a life sciences or engineering class lets us to explore our option. We also focus on project based learning. This trains students to succeed even if they work with someone challenging. We also present a lot. We learn how to be impactful public speakers, a vital skill that isn’t really emphasized at other schools. Cleveland has opened many gateways that enforced my speaking skills. The staff care for more than academics. They take the time to get to know us personally. Our school is diverse when it comes to culture, religion, and status. Being around different backgrounds lets us to cultivate our ideas. We are able to see through a variety of lens and come together to appreciate these differences. Cleveland’s a community where diversity is acknowledged. I’d like to improve our school spirit. I’d like to push people past embarrassment and encourage them to show enthusiasm towards our school. Spirit is important for creating meaningful memories.
