I moved right before the 10th grade and switched to Cleveland High. They have the best program for new students, including a personal guide that will eat lunch with you for a week after transferring! This was such a huge help for me. I had some amazing instructors and a few that were average. Even though there were moments that were hard, overall, I'm glad I graduated from Cleveland High.

I loved Cleveland High School, The things I've been taught, the lessons I've received in the honors classes will and have greatly benefited my academic understanding of the subject. The amount of freedom with your class schedule and how much leeway there is in Class conflicts help make sure that you are in the classes you want. The extracurriculars offered are vast, I am currently enrolled in 3 clubs and Marching/ Concert Band out of personal interests. To conclude, I believe Cleveland Highschool is a great school for anyone, it provides opportunities to those willing to reach out and run for it.
Students
There is a strong drug problem among a lot of the students, specifically with weed and juuls. In a lot of the grade-level classes, hallways, and bathrooms, you can see a student smoking almost on a daily basis. There are not a lot of things done to combat this, either. The current solution does not help with the situation, and people get away with this constantly. A lot of the student population aren't really motivated, because a lot of them are shoved into classes that are not in their depth, such as juniors being forced into honors and AP, when they would do so much better in grade-level classes. This is especially important when it comes to an unweighted GPA, which should be changed to better implement the difficulty of AP and honors classes. The students and teachers also favor certain students for leadership roles. This leads to a lower performance from those select students, as they have to balance everything, and this ends up affecting the school overall.
