No real problems with teachers and their style of teaching and grading.
Teachers for the most part make themselves available as well as the computer lab. Parent involvement is encouraged but highly subjective to parents making the effort.
Sports is weak at our school because of lack of consistent coaches. Music and drama are ok.

High school is so different and there is virtually no relationship between us and the teachers at the high school.
Overall the school has been great and we do appreciate the relationships we have had with the teachers and administration.
I think that it's impossible to handle every situation fairly. Children are often reprimanded unnecessarily while children who blatantly disregard rules and procedure are not disciplined. They do try to stay on top of things but I know things can fall through the cracks.
The kids are taught programs like DARE and other antibullying things. They have a multi-tiered safety procedure in the event of anything ranging from a fire drill to a bomb threat. All classrooms are locked at all times as well as the front door and other exits. No one can enter the building unless buzzed in by receptionist in front office.

Children are offered screenings for scoliosis as well as on sight dental check-ups and eye tests. Nurse is in school five days a week and keeps updated records for each child until they leave the school.
