Clay is a very diverse school that has lots of potential. The older staff members are Colonials at heart and do everything they can to see students succeed. Academics at this school are amazing. Through dual credit and AP classes I have received college credit before I entered a post-secondary school. Sports have been lacking in the past decade or so, primarily due to the elimination of neighborhood schools and school of choice. Clay has been a great source of education to me and I would highly recommend this school to parents who want their children to be involved and enjoy their high school career.

I am a senior at Clay High School. The beauty of Clay is their Fine Arts Magnet Program. Students are given the opportunity to express themselves and improve their education through the arts. With teachers who really care, you can take dance classes, art history, show choir, and more. Walking down the halls, you always hear music. Clay is a wonderful environment for artistic students.
What I like about it is that I feel like I am actually expanding my knowledge from the classes I am in. I have learned more in this school than in any other. This kind of learning experience should be expected, however. On the other side, however, the bathrooms are very poorly maintained, and I feel like the security guards hardly enforce what they are paid to do: keep order. There is chaos in the hallways often. All in all, though, it's a pretty average school.
