I am currently a junior at Clay High School & I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I've had so many wonderful teachers that have made a huge impact on my life. Not only do they care about your performance in their class, they care about your emotional well-being too. I consider the magnet programs to be very enriching as I've been in several different arts-related classes. The college readiness could be improved, but at the end of the day, it's the amount of effort that you put into your work that matters.

Clay Higb School has been an amazing experience for me. Clay is the only Arts Magnet in the SBCSC. That being said, theatre, dance, orchestra, band, choir, and art classes are available to you. You can also be apart of our 3 musical productions every year. Our sports team isn't the best, but Clay has more spirit than any other school. Clay also has more Career and Technical Education classes than any other school in South Bend. We host everything from dentistry to welding to graphic design. Highschool is tough for anyone, but I truly believe Clay has become a home away from home.
Clay is a very diverse school that has lots of potential. The older staff members are Colonials at heart and do everything they can to see students succeed. Academics at this school are amazing. Through dual credit and AP classes I have received college credit before I entered a post-secondary school. Sports have been lacking in the past decade or so, primarily due to the elimination of neighborhood schools and school of choice. Clay has been a great source of education to me and I would highly recommend this school to parents who want their children to be involved and enjoy their high school career.
