My experiences at Clay High School have been nothing short of memorable, exciting and overall rewarding. The faculty and staff are engaging and willing to help with whatever situation you may have. The student body is exciting, polite, welcoming, and ready to learn. Alumni often come back to give to our community and donate so that we may have the resources to continue our long tradition of academic and sport achievement. Our sports teams are extremely talented and accomplished. Our music program is one of the best in the area and put on multiple performances each year. Although a small school, our facilities are top-of-the-line, we have clean halls and floors, we don't allow smoking or vaping outside, we have a large gymnasium and cafeteria, and beautiful baseball/softball fields. Each student at Clay has a Chromebook connected to our fast internet to assist them in their educational endeavors. Overall, if I could sum Clay High into one word it would be, success.

I loved the small class sizes because it made it easier to connect with peers and teachers. I felt well prepared for college in a larger city upon graduating due to the advanced placement courses and the teachers who oversaw them. The school has a difficult grading system and the teachers and faculty push students to try harder, do better, and make a good life for themselves upon graduating. Along with being a small school comes a lot of drama because everyone knows everyone's business. I knew of many bullying incidents while attending the high school that were not taken seriously because the head faculty of the district liked to play favorites. Keep in mind, drama is everywhere and it takes a village to fix those issues which I think the community of Rosemount and Rubyville are very capable of doing.
My experience at Clay High School has been great with a few ups and downs like all students have. But Clay High has made me stand up to the big kids, learn to do things on my own without my parents help, and most of all made me the person I am today. If it wasn't for Clay I would've never been who I am today and there is nothing I'd change about myself or the school.
