Claxton Elementary School Reviews

1 review
We moved to the area when our son was about to start the 3rd grade. We looked at many neighborhoods and elementary schools including private and charter options. In the end we focused on finding a home in the Claxton zoning.

My mother is a retired New York City elementary school principal. Her school was one of the top public or private schools in the country. I know the signs of a good or bad school.

With just one exception, the experience our son had was fantastic over his 3rd through 5th grade journey.

The principal and assistant principal are as engaged as can be and know every student and their parents. They handle everything in the most professional way and yet are incredibly warm and caring. The PTA is the best-there are parents all over the school volunteering. The teachers are fantastic and many of their own children have attended or attend Claxton.
