Rigorous academics in a diverse environment! Diversity is a key differentiator between Classical and suburban schools. Students has a rich variety of racial, cultural, LGBTQ, socioeconomic diversity. Social justice and tolerance become second nature through students' friendships and coached projects where students use their creativity to explore social justice themes. My son is a Classical graduate who made dean's list at college and now appreciates his challenging, well-rounded Classical education.
The school climate is restored after some tough years where it drifted from its Paideia roots due to budget cuts and administration turnover. A new principal re-instilled Paideia methods and re-energized morale. Classical also strengthened ties between Liberal Arts and STEM by partnering with a global technology firm and a new Technology lab. Classical has a small school advantage where you don’t need to be the best to get sports, academic, arts extra-curricular opportunities

A liberal arts school that offers a rigorous curriculum made to prepare students for success. Classical students can participate in a number of of sports such as basketball, soccer, tennis, and baseball. Graphic Arts, Video Production, Computer Science, Web Design, Coding, and Robotics are among the courses offered to students. The students at Classical graduate and attend four-year universities such as Princeton, Smith, Yale, and UConn. They have an 88% 4-year college attendance rate, (students who attend after being admitted) and a 94% college persistence rate (the alumni graduating college). Students demonstrate good citizenship and interpersonal skills through participating in service learning and demonstrating the school's key values of Dignitas, Gravitas, and Pietas. Students at this school must be able to read and absorb literature, write persuasively, think clearly, communicate effectively, and solve issues. We learn not just for school, but for life.
What I love best about Classical Magnet High, is the learning environment, the school is not a large one but it’s is rich in diversity and the amazing support you received by teachers and faculty is very strong. There is alway resources that will help with your academic endeavors if you are will to put in the work . At the earliest stage of learning 6thgrade there is a unknown sense of self awareness that is instilled in you with you realizing it there is pride about the work you put forth that gives you a sense of great accomplishment. Teaches are always there to guide you no matter how easy or difficult the work maybe, this is why I am able to accomplish my goals!
