Clarksburg, known for its exceptional academics, student cultural diversity, inspiring teachers and vibrant school culture makes that early 6 am alarm all worth while. In my first 3 years, I have been involved in the athletics, the theater and arts, the service clubs, and the academic honor societies. Clarksburg is a place where anybody can explore their interests along with their dedicated peers and encouraging teachers. Our teachers and administration are always prepping us for success in our futures and help us to achieve our goals. The students are passionate and have achieved wonders, from high SAT scores to regional championships. My experience at Clarksburg has opened new opportunities for me to be a leader, to share what I love with others, and helped me prepare for my future. The one thing I'd change about this school is adding a study hall period and some more life skills classes. Other than that, there's nothing I'd change about this place!

I really enjoy the fact that this high school offers a multitude of classes and programs that are actually useful for the future. Teachers truly care about the success of their students and are willing to come early or stay late to help struggling students. It also goes without saying that we are the most diverse school in Montgomery County. I believe that no race or ethnicity is over 50%. Due to this, we share cultures and ideas with each other to help every person grow and mature. However, this diversity also comes with downfalls. Due to so many different races and ethnicities, people tend to stick with their own and form cliques based on the color of their skin. This tends to lead to fights and such that result in the endangerment of other students and staff. However, most of the "good" students get along with everyone and the atmosphere is very comforting. There are many clubs and extracurricular activities for the students to participate in and the sense of community is strong.
Clarksburg High school is a great environment where any and every child is given almost any opportunity they can think of, multiple career path ways and endless classes that can help a student realize their passions, likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses. We have an amazing college and career center who is willing to help every kid that walks through her doors. My experience with the staff had been nothing but great. They are very understanding and very excepting of each of their students regardless of identity. Administration does their best effort to create a friendly environment and to accommodate every kid and their needs. Although the students itself vary it is still a great school. The teachers are also very kind and easy to bond with, they also supply extra help and support to their students. Even building service is just as kind as anyone else and security, they are just amazing people who are easy to talk to and are willing to listen and engage with students.
