This school is located in the heart of Athens Ga and has lots of resources from the University of GA. The school building is modern and accommodates the students well but has no lockers at all which is kind of difficult bc the students must take all of their books to every class and not all texts are on computer. Overall we have been very happy with the education. The journalism program, Odyssey, is top notch, the adviser is fully invested in his students and the program is award winning!

At the time that I was a student, Central had a number of dedicated passionate teachers who cared about their students' success. When I looked for opportunities, I always found them. And now, they're remodeled so the facilities are brand new!
The best part of Clarke Central High School is the faculty. They are amazing, and are always willing to help any student who needs additional time for classwork or homework. The curriculum is difficult if you are in AP or advanced classes, but I feel the school has prepared me well for my first year in college next year. Teachers set high expectations for their students, but in general, their classes are always interesting. Also, I have really enjoyed the GLAD time, held on Wednesdays, which allows students to take makeup tests, meet with their counselor or advisor, or attend club meetings. Overall, Clarke Central is a high-quality school.
