City Academy is a great school, which gave me tons of support as well as gave me fascinating and challenging classes. The school is small, but has a wide variety of classes like Drama, Virtual Reality, Art, and Environmental Sciences. A way for the school to do better is to have a more diverse amount of Cambridge Classes, which are equivalent to AP classes. Right now there are mostly only advanced classes for English, Math, and History.

My previous two years were great. But this year, most of the teachers keeping a positive community at City are gone. This is destroying the community and driving away roughly half the student body. The departed teachers have been replaced by what seem to be less supportive teachers.
I personally like City Academy because of: the one on one attention you have with every teacher, the opportunity to have Cambridge classes meaning the students has the ability to get college credits while being a high school student. The school has high expectations for all of the students and the teachers would love to help you to meet those expectations. One thing I would like to see change is the appreciation for the teachers from the people above them. Another thing would be better choices for lunches for the students.
