COVID-19 Update for Prospective Students and Families:

CWS will provide a largely outdoor educational experience for preschool-aged children and school-aged students K-12. We will ensure compliance with CDC, ODE, and the Ohio Department of Health for COVID-19 precautions while opening our school to children. Students will be on campus 5 days a week for normal school hours. A remote option is available.

From Cincinnati Waldorf School

Cincinnati Waldorf School provides active hands-on academic learning infused with nature, community-building, and the arts, to students from early childhood through high school. CWS students learn compassion, resilience, creativity, balance, problem-solving, and independent thinking—exactly what our world needs most right now. CWS is proud to be Cincinnati's only Waldorf School- serving students from all over the Tri-State by providing a vibrant, authentic Waldorf education. Waldorf teachers are experts in outdoor education and our students spend a lot of time outside. This year we are increasing our time outdoors even more to provide a safer, joyful learning environment for our students.

Curriculum in the High School

The curriculum is based on the knowledge that learning is not only an intellectual exercise but a process that engages a student’s empathy and initiative. Students develop moral, intellectual, and aesthetic capacities through focused inquiry and seminar-style classes taught by specialists. Students become Renaissance thinkers with keen powers of observation, preparing them for college and beyond.
