The thing is, I don't even think it's really the school's fault. I mean, could the teachers and staff create a better, more positive environment? Yes. But could the students also do that as well? Absolutely. The problem here is that its faults were easily caused by the fact that, well, it's a middle school. This is a building filled with children going through the most awkward and hardest transition. They aren't quite teenagers, and they aren't really children anymore. The one thing that doesn't help, however, is the fact that teachers seem to really hammer in that "we aren't acting mature" or that "we aren't going to get into college acting that way." Well, yeah. We're not SUPPOSED to be mature. Let us worry about college once we actually get into high school, but for now, I just wish that they really let us be kids. Also, their "Caught red-handed" thing is a huge joke. Literally one of the kids they nominated threatened to break my fingers the month before.
OK, let me just start off by saying that I had to switch schools after two years in the school. I was mentally drained every single day the second I stepped foot in that school. I always went to the counselors office to tell her that I was depressed and she would just send me back to class. Now with a butt load of therapy and a new school with new friends things are starting to look a little brighter. . Cimmaron tries to glorify "being an honor student", but it's hard to do that when the teachers don't help you with anything and there aren't just favorited students, there are celebrities. everyone there is entitled and rude including staff. kids get in trouble for the stupidest stuff too. A guy I didn't even know tried to throw something away and got gum stuck on the handle because he tried to make it in the trashcan but he cleaned it up afterwards
