Most teachers seemed eager to see their students succeed. The school staff and advisers were both helpful and professional. There were several sports opportunities to choose from, and students have the ability to become involved in many after school clubs. Additionally, many different electives and AP classes available to choose from. The school offered many diverse programs that train students for careers after high school. Programs include nursing, auto shop, culinary art, dance, television and production, hospitality management, and many others. The only not so great thing about the school is the school lunches, but isn't that the unfortunate downside of every American high school?

My experience so far has been quite the rollercoaster which I am grateful for. My classes were great, a majority of my teachers have been exceptional. Overall the school gives the perfect environment for a true highschool experience with great opportunities in everything you can think of. What I like most about Cibola was the fact that the teachers care about you progressing in life and having a good future whatever you may choose. The in school society of students and faculty is a very friendly. I would like to see the grading system changed. Many students especially the more advanced ones including myself are having their grades being inconsistently changed. A peer of mine received a 4 on the AP test which he was promised that score would bring his in class grade to an A, however the counselors refuse to change it. Taking college classes now counts as AP credit however only to ones currently taking the classes and not previously, which teachers and students agree that it is unfair.
Cibola High School is a great school that nearly my entire family has gone to. The teachers are great and they really care about how ready students are prepared for college and/or university. The school focuses on college readiness and they make sure to prepare all students for the ACT by having multiple practice tests during certain classes. The only problem every student complains about is the school lunch, but let's be honest every student complains at least once about the food. The school is very diverse and offers many different CTE classes, such as nursing and you and the law. They also offer ceramics culinary, art and not only is Spanish offered, but also Italian. Cibola is an amazing school that offers a lot of opportunities for its students.
