I've attended Churchland High for the entirety of my high school career. Over the years not much has changed; there is overwhelming violence and low preparation for the future. Regardless of socioeconomic background, there should've been a standard for achievement above the bare minimum of "just passing". Although there've been minor attempts to improve the quality of learning, there are only a few teachers that actually care about the students' progression rather than allowing them to behave below-standard. Also, despite students being subject to mandatory bag checks and walking through metal-detectors every morning, students are still able to sneak guns and marijuana into the school, undetected. This is extremely concerning when America has been highly susceptible to school-shootings. Even if there was no gun, fights occur on the regular at this school, disrupting instruction, and no progress has been made to fix this.

Churchland High School is an experience I'll always remember. I've met really cool students here, and I've met some if my favorite teachers here. The teachers here care and try hard to make sure students exceed in class. The library at this school is pretty cool too. It's a cozy evniroment equipped with sofas and tables for best comfort and effective studying. The color choice of the library is easy om the eyes as well, a very importany aspect for me. I would definetly recommend the school to whoever wonders abouy which highschool to choose in the area.
My experience with Churchland Highschool was a memorable one. The bright orange lockers, the jarring bell, and the smiling teachers waiting at the door all together made that high school. It's a large school but I feel like I got to know so many faculty and peers one on one. Every passing face was a familiar one. Teachers and students were like one big family. We all loved each other, and now that I have left and graduated I can finally see that. School spirit was never dull here at Churchland. Rocking the orange and black was something to be proud of, and it should be. The school may have gotten a bad reputation, whether it be its location or a certain handful of challenge students, but I believe that's what gives this bright school character. Churchland Highschool really helped me prepare for college and has shaped me into the student I am today.
