Churchill High School is a really amazing school! All of the teachers are invested in making their students ready for college. It is very easy to create relationships with the teachers. They are always open to having a conversion with their students about anything. There are many challenging class to choose from when selecting class for the new year. There are also are many clubs and sports for students to join. Joining a club or a sports team really helps new students make friends and become evolved in school. Churchill is an amazing school that creates college ready students, who want to learn and want to be challenged.

This school has a great variety of programs, clubs, and activities to allow students to participate in and grow as people. Aside from the various levels of general classes, there are also the performing arts and STEM-oriented programs. There is also a plethora of clubs and extracurricular activities that students can use to stay involved.
However, I have noticed a lack of diversity and understanding within the school. If we were able to hold events to celebrate our diverse cultural backgrounds, students could learn about and celebrate their differences. In doing this, students could develop levels of understanding and tolerance that would greatly benefit them when entering the workplace.
Churchill High School was, in my opinion, an above average high school.
Like any school, one's experience will differ based on how involved a student is aside from academics. I was involved in student council and numerous other clubs and activities, which is why my high school career was worthwhile. Sports are dedicated and highly honored. In terms of academics, the teachers that I had were excellent. They are always willing to help outside of the classroom and truly want their students to succeed. The counseling department is one of the greatest resources that I used. There are four full-time counselors available to speak to any student in need of emotional support, which I took advantage of on a weekly basis. Applying for scholarships and even to college in general was a process that I had to figure out mostly on my own. CHS does not offer intense AP courses like many other schools around Michigan do, but they do offer a few.
