Chuckey Doak has such a welcoming environment. When I went there as a freshman, I did not know anyone. However, everyone was so kind and they took me in like they had known me my whole life!

Chuckey-Doak High School has been quite the experience. I have met many wonderful people and had the opportunity to see multiple changes within the student body. Throughout it all, there has always been those teachers you are inspired by and those friends who are like no other. It is a place of resources; from chickens and sheep to instruments and concerts, Chuckey-Doak is always a busy place for involvement. Many parents and students attend the athletic activities as well. The new faculty and staff are very supportive of the students' futures. It is definitely a place for the " rural type " with a smaller student body and Tennessean culture. The academics, on one hand, are not so college preparing, at least not what they could be, but with the right class choices, the criteria can be very informative. All in all, I could not ask for a better high school experience.
Chuckey-doak has a relatively small student-teacher ratio, around 15 for most core classes, this being because of a school body of roughly 400 students; however, it does suffer from incompetence in administration and a lack of communication with our central office.
