We had three of our boys attend Chrysalis. They all had wonderful experiences, but our youngest had the most profound transformation. Public elementary school was eating him alive. He experienced weekly illness from all the stress associated with the cookie-cutter education approach. We enrolled him in Chrysalis and his school life turned completely around. He went from just barely surviving in public school to thriving in the Chrysalis tailored school approach. More than that, he went on to thrive, both academically and relationally. He went there from grade 4 through graduation and ended up with a BS from the Foster school at the University of Washington. And now has a thriving career in the business world.
The Chrysalis model is all about the student and their needs, with curriculum tailored to each student and the pace of learning built for each child.

I loved that I was able to have a flexible school schedule so I could concentrate on gymnastics. The teachers were supportive of my dyslexia.

However, the school can be very isolating if you are not one to go out of your way to make friends. I would have enjoyed more structure in my one on one classes as well
My son had a wonderful experience at Chrysalis. He liked to play video games, and I was worried that he wouldn't take school seriously. His teachers at Chrysalis really sparked his interest in learning, and now he has a 3.7 gpa in college. I credit his Chrysalis experience for preparing him to succeed.
