My two children have attended CAK the past four years. As parents, we love the sense of community that surrounds CAK. Teachers partner with us and don't treat them like a "statistical number", but as a real person. They learn what works best for each of my kids and have applied almost an individualized method of teaching to ensure they get the concepts that are being taught. I have one child who struggles and the other who finds academics to come easy. The teachers go over and beyond a typical classroom environment -- my child that struggles is able to comfortably ask questions and receive positive reinforcement . My other child is challenged to do even better or more so he does not become bored. If you are looking for a school that educates the ENTIRE child, this is where you want to be!

I was a CAK Homestudy Program student. The advisors were amazing at making sure that I was learning what I needed while allowing flexibility in my curriculum. They were kind and easy to work with. Plenty of sports and extracurricular activities were offered, and my cousin (also a homeschooler) participated in the swimming with no problem in getting onto the team. He was able to compete like the non-homeschooling students.
My advisor (who will remain nameless) was kind and open-minded to my goals and helped me organize them to meet state standards while giving me the freedom to do what I wanted. The guidance mixed open-mindedness is perfect for ensuring foundational academic success.
CAK is a great school! I recommend the independent study program they have! This is what I studied as. The administrators for the homeschool program and are amazing, caring and helpful. They have a lot of connections and know a lot of people and about homeschooling so they are an amazing resource for homeschoolers. The graduation is formal and just like any other normal school graduation!
