When I first started to attend Christian Academy of Carrollton (CAC) two years ago, the only extracurricular activities available were girl's volleyball, girl's basketball, boy's basketball, and piano lessons. Obviously the choices were very limited. Unfortunately, I did not participate in anything until my second year at CAC.

During my second year at CAC, the choices became less narrow, except instead of more sports being added to the list, clubs were added to the list. These new clubs included Yearbook club, Spanish club, Chess club, journalism, Student Government, and Random Acts of Kindness. I participated in the yearbook club, Spanish club, and girl's volleyball.

This year, the sports and the piano lessons still stand. The clubs are not running this year. The school was trying to race funds for archery and track this year, but that failed.

Overall, extracurricular activity choices are very narrow for the students of CAC, however, commitment towards sports and/or clubs is very high when they are available. With sports, CAC students are very competitive. They practice for at least 45 minutes to an hour about one or two times a week. Some students practice after practice, or during any of their free time at home, the school gymnasium, the school parking lot, or the park. I, personally, have practiced at home and at the park after regular practice. I have seen other students practice everywhere else, especially the school parking lot during extended class switch time. During actual tournaments, they place 100% concentration on gaining points in order to win the game. If they are losing, they try to strategize with each other in order to improve. They also have good sportsmanship. If they lose, they do not complain or get angry with each other. They just smile and say "good game!" to the opposite team.

The school is really small. Three different buildings are on campus. These buildings include the main building, the high school building, and the school gymnasium.

The school's condition is fair. It could be a lot better.

There are no guidance counselors available at this particular school.

The school is up to date on technology. There is plenty of printers and computers available for students and faculty to use.

The school supplies a broad amount of college prep resources including PSAT practice booklets, ACT practice booklets, college and university brochures, US World News magazines, etc.

Tutoring is available by both me ( a student at CAC) and one of the teachers.

Parents are very involved at CAC whether it be as drivers for field trips or volunteers for the annual CAC fall festival.

No busing. Students are driven to and from school by their guardians.
The principal is a very benevolent lady. She is very helpful and generous to those around her, especially those in need. She works hard in running the school efficiently as well as completing any requests made by faculty, parents, and/or students.

The office staff are excellent. They are very organized, creative, and kind. They complete any projects assigned to them thoroughly and in a timely manner.

There is zero tolerance for bullying at the school. If any of the students were reported for bullying, school staff immediately look into the situation and find a resolve the problems.

The students are expected to wear uniforms so that there are no issues with inappropriate clothing. If a child fails to meet these requirements, the parents are called and asked to bring the appropriate school uniform to school for the child to change into.

The school keeps track of each child's attendance. If a child misses school, the parents are required to call the office and explain why. A note is also required the next day for an excused absence. The child's attendance is also written on each child's report card issued out every term. If there is any suspicion about a child skipping school, his or her parents will be called and notified.
