Chicago Military Academy is based on a Military program. It shows us many things we will need after high school such as ; Attention to detail, dignity and leadership skills. Overall , My experience at Chicago Military is so far so good. Chicago Military is a stem school , so you get many opportunities. Although , one thing I would like to change about the school is the academics and clubs/ activities. There should be more clubs and activities to give more students a better opportunity in joining an activity they enjoy. I would like to change the Academics because I personally feel like I learn less , One could be the teachers not being ready to give the lesson , they spend too much time talking or giving us work that is not related to the class. Another reason why I feel like my school needs to change the academics is because of the students that don't take the class serious so we have to wait for them to settle down to continue the lesson.

I really love the teachers here and how everyone, including the students, allows others to be open with anything; such as pregnancy, sexuality, religion, personal issues, culture, language, tradition, etc. I'm not afraid to be judged in school because all students take me for who I am. What I would like to see change is the student's motivation for joining a club, the admin's help to find jobs and volunteering opportunities, and more club/activities opportunities.
When I heard it was a military school I was nervous to attend because the word military is scary. After my first year, I really enjoyed it because it’s a small school and i really got to engage with my teachers. I joined a few clubs which made it fun but overall it was a good experience. I would want to change the way student see this school because it is a good school but the student have a negative mindset.
